Hallowed
Ground Christian Retreat is a non-denominational facility
and a member of the Association of Christian Camps and
Conferences (CCI/USA). Our mission is to initiate a
hunger to know and follow the will of God through the
fellowship with nature and the community of believers.
We want to reach out to the local as well as
the global community and make this “burning bush “
a life changing experience.
We have developed many “sparks” that will bring
members from all walks of life together and cultivate
the process of self-enrichment.
All
these “sparks” come from seven “Rays of Light” of the
“Burning Bush” and work together to cultivate relationships
between friends, our families, and to make a positive
contribution to improve our society.
In
2001-2002, we started with weekend Retreats
at existing conference facilities. In the summers of
2003 and 2004, we held Camp
Emmanuel
overnight camp. By the fall 2005, we sponsored Jasper’s
Baseball. Our newly created Mentoring
and Gardening programs are ready
to be implemented during the 2006-2007 school year and
there are also plans for Saturday Tutoring
and Life Skills Enrichment. Over
the years, we have held countless Bible Study
sessions and Family Fellowships.
Our Performing Arts “spark” has
started rehearsals for our first Children’s Musical
that will debut this summer.
As
we begin to administer programs through out the year,
we would like to offer the opportunity for participant
families & friends, and also members of the business
community to support us.
We have been increasing member participation
each year. We pray that our programs will touch the
hearts of almost 1000 people this year and we anticipate
almost 10% growth each year.
