About
The Founder
Minister Lawrence Moore is a native of Bronx, New York
and has been involved in youth ministry for over 20
years. As a teenager he worked as a summer camp counselor
for the NAACP and participated in the Children for Christ
program at Trinity Baptist Church in the Bronx. He received
his Bachelor's degree in business management from Saint
Johns University in Queens, New York. After thirteen
years as a senior staff claims representative with a
major insurance company, Lawrence accepted God's call
into the ministry.
Minister Moore received his license to preach the Gospel
in May 2004 just two days after the passing of his father.
He is presently coordinator of facilities and special
programs at the Greenforest / McCalep Christian Academic
Center in Decatur, Georgia. He is also heavily involved
in the Young Adult ministry at the Greenforest Community
Baptist Church as a leader, bible study instructor,
and Sunday school teacher.
Minister Moore is also the founder and executive director
of the Hallowed Ground Christian Retreat (Hallowed Ground)
in Stockbridge, Georgia. The mission of the program
is to initiate a hunger to know and follow the will
of God through the fellowship with nature and the community
of believers. Hallowed Ground programs are focused on
children between the ages of 5-12.
Lawrence and his wife Leslie of almost 12 years are
the proud parents of seven beautiful children: Lawrence,
Jr., Emmanuel, Christopher, Jeremiah, Martin, Malcolm
and Jayla. He is a photographer, avid gardener, and
passionate for the growth and development of all God’s
children. His passion for children is evident by his
full quiver and life’s work. He is truly a man
that practices what he preaches.
